Every time I hear or read someone else’s testimony of God’s goodness or His keeping power, it builds up my own faith more!!
We need our faith built up in this hour!! Faith itself is under such an attack from the enemy!
God instructs us to encourage each other...
We need each other!!
Sometimes, God will allow us to experience difficulties in life in order to :
#1: Draw us closer to Him
#2: Help us grow spiritually
#3: For Him to receive praise/Glory
#4: So we can turn around and use our story of how the Lord helped us to strengthen/encourage others who also may be going through similar situations...
It seems like Satan has hijacked our testimony service in Holiness churches. A lot of the testimonies we hear today is almost glorifying how bad the Devil’s been fighting and how great the struggle is (the “I’m barely hanging on” mentality ) — or even Heaven forbid—bragging about one’s own accomplishment and achievements or trying to get a point across or throw a stone at someone across the aisle... These are not the kind of testimonies that bring God glory!! We don’t want to be vessels that glorify the Devil nor the flesh or to become malicious/hurtful under the guise of doing right!
What we need is some good, old fashioned testimonies of just Who GOD is!! How good He is to His people!! Telling how His mercy and His grace is everlasting!! Testimonies of His lovingkindness!! Testimonies of His Power!! Testimonies that God will delight in!!
Our kids need to hear of victories from us older ones! They don’t need to hear how bad we have it!! They need to see thankful, holy, victorious examples.
I know we have all been through struggles, troubles, and trials in this Christian walk but our worst day with the Lord far outweighs our best days in the world!! We are saved! We are redeemed!! We are on our way to Heaven!! We are children of the King!!
We all have been through enough difficulties in life to either get bitter about or to get better!! If we would take the time to sit down and recount everything the Lord has done in each of our lives, we would soon come to the realization that God has blessed us beyond measure.
We should share what the Lord has done in our lives. Often, the enemy tries to hinder us and we think —“oh, no one would want to hear my testimony”... “it’s not a fiery testimony” or “I’ve told it before, everyone don’t want to hear it again!”
Sister, let me exhort you!! We need to hear it!! It’s your story!! No one can tell your story like you can!! Every time you tell it, whether it’s the 1st time or the 50th time, God receives the Glory!! There may be someone that hears your testimony and thinks “wow! That’s what I’m facing! If God helped her through that battle, maybe He will help me too!”
You never know, your testimony may be the key that unlocks someone else’s prison!!
There are multiple scriptures in the Word of God that advocates sharing our stories with others!
Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost...
Revelation 12:11——And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony...
Luke 22:32—— But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 ———Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
Hebrews 10:23-25——[23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) [24] And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: [25] Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is ; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Ephesians 4:29 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers
2 Corinthians 1:3-4——Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Colossians 3:16 - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Mark 5:19 ——[19] Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
God knew we could be influenced by the experiences of those around us— Testimony itself is so powerful!! That’s why Satan fights it so bad!! He don’t want us to bind together as one body in Christ and fight this good fight of Faith together!! Ecclesiastes 4:12b... a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
We can even overcome the Enemy ourselves by the word of our testimony!! ( Revelation 12:11——And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony...)
Don’t tell me it doesn’t matter whether we testify or not!!
Our daily lifestyle is even a testimony! We are testifying to others around us every day without saying a word. We are either showing people Christ or we aren’t. There is no middle ground. We must be living testimonies for His glory!!
Matthew 5:13-16 ——[13] Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. [14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. [15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. [16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
So, how about it, women of God?? Will you share your story?
Will you allow God to use your experience to help someone else? We need you! We need strong women of Faith that “know their God!” Too long, we have cowered to the enemy! It’s time for us to take some things back out of the Devil’s hands!!! We can become an available tool once again for the Master’s use!!

I so enjoy writing these articles... I really feel the Lord has laid a burden on me to write and to encourage us Holiness ladies to “hold fast” to the heritage of Holiness and the values of traditional, Biblical womanhood in a rapidly shifting, hostile world.
I sincerely pray over each article for the Lord to give me the words to say that He wants said. I never want to give my opinion—it doesn’t matter what I think— it only matters what HE thinks...
