A.W. Tozer

The amount of loafing practiced by the average Christian in spiritual things would ruin a concert pianist if he allowed himself to do the same thing in the field of music. The idle puttering around that we see in church circles would end the career of a big league pitcher in one week. No scientist could solve his exacting problem if he took as little interest in it as the rank and file of Christians take in the art of being holy. The nation whose soldiers were as soft and undisciplined as the soldiers of the churches would be conquered by the first enemy that attacked it. Triumphs are not won by men in easy chairs. Success is costly.
If we would progress spiritually, we must separate ourselves unto the things of God and concentrate upon them to the exclusion of a thousand things the worldly man considers important. We must cultivate God in the solitudes and the silence; we must make the kingdom of God the sphere of our activity and labor in it like a farmer in his field, like a miner in the earth.
An A. W. Tozer Sermon: Heart-Seekers

Quick Note:

Our homeschool is back in session so life is a little chaotic and crazy at times right now as we settle back into our routines— my priority is to my own home first and foremost — my husband first, then teaching/training my children daily as their teacher and mom. I am still 100% passionate about blogging, digging into the Word to find nuggets of truth to share with and to encourage all of you, but due to time constraints and other stuff that just come up in life, ( not to mention the need to sleep— I like to work on my blog at night a lot of the time. Lol!) if there is a especially busy week or if the kids need extra help, there may be times going forward where a mid week (Weds) post may look something like this one…I will try to continue the Sun, Wed, Fri schedule if possible. That seems to work nicely for me. But if you see posts that aren’t directly written by me or are reposts or are shared off another blog or sermon site, that is primarily the reason behind it. Life happens ! 😊 I will credit whatever original source if possible….

As soon as “whatever is up in the air at that particular moment” calms down, we will go back to our regularly scheduled programming as my time becomes available. Lol 🤣

In the meantime, during this busy season, I will try to share something that I myself find to be uplifting, challenging, or encouraging to share.
